Balancing Reselling With Life

Do you guys ever get so focused on work that you forget to take care of yourself? Well, its something that I have been too much of lately and I have decided to really put a focus on myself. Without making myself a priority I can’t run my business the best I can. When I feel my best I can perform my best. I thought I would share with you guys how I am learning to balance my life with reselling and how I am making myself a priority. I talked a little bit about this on my Instagram, but thought I would dive in further a little bit. If you guys don’t follow me over on my Instagram you should! I share a lot about my daily life and try to give you guys advice daily!

Working Out

I used to work out every day 5 days a week for about 6 months and then I went on my trip to Chicago last year and I haven’t been in a gym routine ever since. I have gone on and off (mostly off) but I am making it a priority to finally get myself in shape. My wedding is coming up in about a month so obviously, I want to look my best, but this is about more than that. Whenever I workout I sleep throughout the night and feel amazing in the morning which motivates me to get up and start my day. If I sleep really bad at night I don’t want to get up and do anything in the day so I decided I need to start working out again. I have gone to the gym every day this week so far and it feels SO GOOD. If you guys want me to share my work out routines then let me know in the comments below!

Take A Day Off

I usually take the weekends off to relax, recharge, and hang out with my family and friends. When you are working a regular job you don’t work 10 hours a day for 7 days a week so why do you do that when you work from home? You need time for yourself otherwise you will get burnt out and your work will suffer. I know it may seem like your work will suffer if you aren’t sharing your clsoet, listing new items, or posting on Instagram. Trust me if you take one day off it won’t be that bad. Take the time off and just relax. It will help you out tremendously if you are doing this on a regular basis. Pick a day or two to take off during the week and stick to it.

Treat Yourself

I have been getting my nails done recently and it’s been so nice to go into the nail salon every couple weeks and get my nails done. It’s so relaxing to go in and get them done instead of doing them myself. I have been getting dip nails which is a total game changer in my opinion. I think it’s important to have something that you do for yourself every once in a while. It doesn’t have to be nails, it could be your eyelashes, a massage, or even just going out to eat to your favorite restaurant on a certain day. Make sure you are taking time and treating yourself because you are amazing. You are running a business and you need to support yourself and show yourself some love for all the hard work you do.

Learn To Say No

I know this might be a weird thing to do to balance your life, but if you start saying no then you will feel very liberated. People will ask you do to things when you work from home, but would they ask you if you worked from a “real job”? No, they wouldn’t. So if you really need to focus on your work then feel free to say no. This might not be hard for some of you to do, but I am a people pleaser and its very hard for me to say no to the important people in my life. So don’t be afraid to say no to people.

Make A Schedule

Make a to-do list for the day. Know exactly what you need to get done and then start by doing the most important things for the day. Check them off of your list as you go. This will help motivate you to keep getting things done. I used to make a daily list of the things that I needed to get done and I was so much more productive when I would do that because I would have a list in front of me telling me what I needed to do next. I also like to stick to a schedule of when I do things. When I wake up I go to the gym. Then I come home and share my closet and clean my room. Then I take a shower and get ready for the day. Then I start steaming and photographing items, etc. Whatever your schedule may be it’s really easy to get things done when you have a routine that you stick to.

I hope some of these tips helped you guys! Let me know what you need to work on in the comments down below! I know I really need to work on all of them.

XOXO, Cait
